Before they headed over, I searched my cabinets for a sweet treat I could fix. I didn't want to make a huge mess, as we are trying to use our countertops lightly until we are sure the paint has had time to completely set. I didn't want to use the mixer because I would have to set it out on the counter, so I knew that wasn't an option. I remembered a recipe I had seen on Pinterest using crescent rolls. I took out a package of crescent rolls, opened, unrolled, and separated them. On 4 of the unbaked rolls, I spread peanut butter....and on top of the peanut butter I put chocolate chips!
On the other 4 crescents I used Nutella. We LOVE Nutella. I really like it on toast. So good.
That looks kind of gross.....sorry.
Then I rolled them all up, and they were ready to go!
I put them in the oven at 350 degrees for 14 minutes (per regular crescent roll instructions). When they came out, I put a small bit of butter on eat one, and then got powdered sugar happy.
Oh yesssss.
I served them up on a plate with a cold glass of milk. They were delicious!
Thanks for reading! Happy Labor Day!
I'm about to try this and it looks AWESOME. You put chocolate chips with PB and Nutella. How can you go wrong??? Thanks for the easy dessert. And I like your motto. As a single mom, that's my new goal with whoever God brings into my life. :)

ReplyDeleteJust made the peanut butter and choc. chips for my daughter to use up the other half of my crescents! I made 4 pizza rolls (2 pepperoni and cheese, 2 plain cheese) and 4 peanut butter/choc. chip rolls! :) What a fun lunch for her!
