Goodness time is flying, isn't it?! I can't believe I am already 23 weeks pregnant (tomorrow)! It just hit me today that soon I will be getting into the last trimester! Oh my goodness. It feels like I just hit the second trimester. This pregnancy is really going fast. Here is what the belly is looking like these days! Excuse the no makeup look. August decided it would be a great idea to wake up 5 times last night....after I got in bed at 1 a.m.
This week I got a prenatal massage! Adam got me a 90 minute massage certificate for Christmas, and I am just getting around to using it. You can't get a massage in your first trimester, so I was waiting. Plus I wasn't going to get one while I had the PUPPPS, because I'm sure no one would want to touch me, and I'm sure the massage oil and friction would irritate the rash. It was great to feel pampered. However, my mind kept wandering to laundry, playroom ideas, wondering what August was doing, realizing I forgot to marinate the chicken, etc. I was constantly having to focus on relaxing. Haha. Oh, the busy mind of a momma!
The baby is moving like crazy now! His big movement time is at night, after the dishes and laundry are done, and I have my feet kicked up. I can just sit and watch my stomach jump and bump. He is getting really strong in there! He still hasn't flipped. I can tell he is still horizontal since I'm feeling all the kicks down low on my left side. I can also feel him moving when I am walking around now. I can't believe I am that far along already!
It feels so weird to talk about him. He is a real person! Ahhh! Just like August is a real person! That is so weird to me for some reason. It is weird for me to think about us having another son. It is hard to fathom. Of course, I couldn't fathom August actually being here either. We still haven't settled on a name. I have a couple names that I like, but Adam isn't committing to anything yet. Of course, I will announce the name once we have settled on it. I don't really like to tell people the names we are thinking about, because I don't really want/need outside opinions. Haha. That sounds kind of mean. I don't mean it in a mean way. I just like unique names, and I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea. So I just like to announce the name so that there is no discussion. :)
I haven't weighed myself in 2....wait 3....weeks. Has it been that long? That is scary. Our batteries in our bathroom scale died. They are the fancy, round lithium ones. So I just now got around to replacing them today. I'll probably step on the scale in the morning and face the music. My eating habits have been TERRIBLE the last few weeks. Not having the accountability of the scale has taken its toll, I am sure. We have had a lot of fast food lately, and I have been making desserts like crazy. My sweet tooth is back in full force. I am scared to face the consequences tomorrow. I have still been walking a decent amount, but it's definitely not enough to counteract what I've been eating. Maybe if I get myself back on track now, it won't be that big of a deal. Ahhhhh. Update: I stepped on the scale this morning, and I have gained exactly 10 pounds since the beginning of pregnancy. That means in the past 3 weeks I have gained 5 pounds. Ahhh! Going for a walk now.
I have been in super nesting/decluttering mode lately. Like I want every single thing out of this house that doesn't get used on a daily basis. It's getting a little obsessive. I am constantly looking for things to get rid of. I just want more space! I am not saying I want a bigger house; I just think we have a lot we can get rid of to free up some precious square footage. Our t.v. is huge. It was given to us by Adam's parents when they bought a new one. Don't get me wrong, I am super grateful for a free t.v., and it's a really nice one too! I just would like to be able to free up some space so we can spread our furniture out a little better. But it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to get rid of a perfectly nice, big t.v., and pay for a smaller t.v. I can't justify getting rid of something free and nice to pay for something else. Ya know? Does anyone want to trade t.v.'s? Not even joking. Ours is a flat screen (not flat panel). It's whatever size ginormous is. We really don't watch enough t.v. to have one this big, and we only have like 5 or 6 channels. We just get local channels. No cable or satellite. Our living room is just so small, the t.v. takes up about 30% of the room. Anyway, if you would like to trade, or have any suggestions, let me know. :) We would just sell it and be done with t.v., but we do like to watch the news and things like that. What it would sell for is probably not what a new t.v. costs.
Wow, I just talked a long time about the t.v. Goodness. Anyway. I feel like there was something else I was going to talk about. Hmmm. I can't think of it now. Oh well, I need to get in the bed. It's past 11:30. Thanks for keeping up with us! Hope you have a great day! :)
